Some of you know that my winch stopped working last weekend at Brookridge - would spool out but not it. After speaking to Engo & reversing the wires, it did exactly the opposite - indicating a bad solenoid (the Engo E9000S has two solenoids).
Emailed with & then spoke with Joel at Engo who was very helpful. Ended up ordering a replacement solenoid control assembly (the full box & wires) for $60+shipping. Comes with a 1year warranty. Would have been cheaper to just replace the faulty solenoid but with my legendary wiring skills, decided a new assembly was safer. I’m impressed with how fast Joel/Engo got back to me.....wasn’t expecting much but pleasantly surprised.
Unrelatedly, what I thought was tire rubbing on my fenders flares actually turned out to be tire rubbing on the front bumper on full flex. Removed the corners from the front bumper & had no rubbing over the weekend. Here’s how it looks without the front bumper corners.
Before removing the corners (old picture from the first wheeling run with this Jeep):
Don’t like the look as much but don’t hate it enough yet to justify spending $$s on new fender flares.
