How do you know when your pwer steering pump is going bad? when i turn my wheel at a stand still and slow sppeeds i feel a weird vibration in the wheel. it also makes a really low whining sound. i dont know what it is?

Actually mines doing the same.. right now i dont have to money to fix it so for mow i just turn up the volume..

Check the simple things first. PS fluid level and belt tension. These pumps are pretty reliable. Next, I would try changing out the fluid.

This is the kind of part I would leave until it dies. If it fails completely, you will not be stranded and if and when the pump dies, it will not cause further damage.
