Interesting placement of the turbo. Probably fine for the road, but on the trails??? Also, the problem with a turbo it needs rpms to kick in.
Kudos for doing it.

It's an STS universal turbo kit.
It's a poor design, extremely inefficient turbo based on all of the mustang boards I'm on.
Pretty much pointless if you wheel or want power from anything less than 4000 rpms.
Since the turbo is so far away from the intake, there are lots of pipes involved, so the turbo lag is terrible.
Money = wasted.

Terrible design. I would have mounted it closer to the engine. Hell you won't be able to drive that in the rain..

Deffinitly can't wheel with it back there. But it is a small turbo there shouldn't be that much lag. The post said that the turbo came from a 2.0L. If he had mounted that small of a turbo on the header it would not have lasted. There's far less exaust pressure back there. Could be worse his power mod could've been a shop vac on the intake.
