This is a great group

Glad you are making this run Dennis. It's been a few years since I wheeled with you last at Rausch. Can't wait to see the tracker in action again.

Don't count me in yet, but I might be interested in a ride-along. That's usually about the time I pay a visit to some of my friends in Northampton anyway, but my job situation is up in the air for the summer so I'm a maybe at best.

Since my rig is nowhere capable enough, I would like to ride shotgun. I currently have an invitation to occupy the passenger seat in "The Beast". I will play camera b!tch for this run!

I am interested in getting more information about the Massachusetts permit that will let me four-wheel. When I search, I am not finding it.
What are people's thoughts about accommodations? Are people planning on camping, hoteling?

If you have a mass ORV sticker it would cover you on all mass trails.
They can be bought a any mass. fish and game for around $50;00 for out of state vehicles.
If interested I can get you more details...

Yeah, who needs this? More info please.

My sister lives about an hour away in South Hampton so unless folks are hanging to party at some local resturant then hotel I'll be heading there after the run.

What's the plan?

Here is some of the basic info.

http://forum.nea4wd.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4768

I am going to check on one for myself.
it is $30.00 for a one year sticker for out of state.
My concern is the tax fee on the vehicles.
and something on pro rating it back to date of purchase?
I will find out more on this soon.
OFR is still listed as a town road, so all registered vehicles should be fine.
Non registered I would reccomend a sticker if possible.
I have never heard of any club having a concern up there with any law inforcement.

The law reads that the sticker covers you after leaving a public way for recreational perposes on any mass. lands public or private.

I may be drving up and staying over the night before
and hopefully driving back home that night.

If everything goes as planned it looks like here.

It's on rt 8 and is 30 min south from the meeting spot.

Sounds like a "no-tell motel" to me. :1629:

I was there in 2005 and stayed at Whitcomb''s Summit. Here's the website.

http://whitcombsummit.com/

It isn't a real classy hotel, but it was clean, fairly close to Florida Road, they have a big parking lot and didn't seem to mind the four wheeling rigs.

Any news on permits and taxes and non-registered vehicles?
