Nice!

14 Days to go! There are 15 of your off-road brethren planning to attend so far.
Too late for an event shirt but I still have time to sign up and join these hard core MF'ers on the trails of Vermont!

...or like every Saturday I can sit on the couch, watch the morning cartoons and check how many "likes" the last poser shot of my egg crate received from the other keyboard wheelers...

Ouch! :(

A couple of us scouted out some great trails for the ‘easier’ group over the weekend.

Easier group should expect plenty of rocks, some mud & water, ledges, roots/trees & tight trails. Expect at a minimal, some level of pin striping. Please remove side steps that aren’t true rock sliders, any low hanging bumper add-ons & mud flaps or others that’s won’t survive a scrape with a rock. Skids, sliders, good tires would help wheel with confidence. With common sense & help, risk of damage is low….but it’s still possible.

Folks running the harder trails should be prepared for anything. Damage & breakage possible. Expectation is that you have a well modified rig, have experience wheeling & have a healthy attitude towards the risk of damage.

If you have any questions, please do ask.

i just joined coming over from thenewx.
Easier in quotes...nice. I'm looking forward to testing my xterra as I haven't done any legitimate low range wheeling with it yet.

Major bummer, I was taking my steps off last night in preparation for this weekend and noticed 2 of my leafs on the passenger side have snapped off. I have been noticing an intermittent sound coming from back there that this is most likely the source of.

I think I am out of commission for this one but I still want the t-shirt. Hopefully I can make it out to the next run.

Have fun dudes

Great weekend. Thank you for all who attended. We had great weather, a little cold at night but the fire felt great. The trails were fantastic. Views from our camping spot were fantastic.

I heard exciting stories from the hard group who wheeled the trails at the Vermont Badlands. Four rigs ran the hard trails & I hear all four almost rolled over at some point! Plus a slashed tire, broken mirror…

The remaining eight in the easy group had it easy in the morning before things got interesting. Still can’t believe Tony’s ratchet strapped upper control arm made it out of the trial…incredibly! We also had weird noises from Johns rig , which made it out ok & a several nervous minutes when another one of us lost the keys temporarily.

Specially thanks to:
- Chris for leading the setup, raffle & cooking dinner
- John for bringing the food for Saturdays dinner
- Ernie for leading
- All those who setup the group fire & entertaining stories
- Damian for the adult beverages
- Everyone who provided Damian with the ingredients

I’m sure I’m forgetting more. I had a great time. This was truly a group effort with everyone pitching in with something or the other. Looking forward to the next one!
