If anyone wants to caravan to the camp ground like we did last year. I believe we would caravan up Wednesday July 13th. Please let me know who is interested and then we will decide rest stop meeting places as we did on the previous year.

This is the post from last year and I think it can still work:

Google Maps Meeting Locations:
GOOGLE MAPS

1st meeting spot (Google Maps point A):
Meeting Time: 7:45am
Location: Park and ride adjacent to Chilies off Exit 21 on Rt 91.
Depart: 8:00AM sharp.

2nd meeting spot (Google Maps point B):
Meeting Time: 8:30 am.
Location: Milford Service Station 95 Southbound just past exit 41
Notes: This is one of those service stations off the side of the road. It's also right after exit 41 as stated above and right after where I91 runs into 95S for all that are coming from points North.
Departing time: 9:15 a.m. Sharp!

From there we will be going down to 287 and over the Tappan Zee bridge towards the town of Suffern,NY (which is what I'm putting on to my GPS as a point) arriving at our 2nd meeting spot which will be listed below. This leg has and estimated travel time of 2:30 hours.

3rd meeting spot (Google Maps point C):
Meeting time: 1:00pm (roughly)
Location: Porter's Pub 700 Northampton Street, Easton, PA
Notes: This will be the final pit stop until we get to the campground. We will have lunch and a drink or two for the final leg of the trip. We will also find a gas station around this area to fill up.
Departing time: After lunch

http://www.porterspubeaston.com/index.html

From there we will continue on our last leg of our journey. And from this meeting spot should take us roughly 1:30 hours travel time. with and estimated arrival time at the campground being roughly around 3 pm. Giving everyone plenty of daylight to set up tents and what not.

Now remember these time frames are rough estimates and not exact. They was provided by the maps and I figure with us traveling a little faster than the suggested times, we'll make it there a little sooner (hopefully).

If anyone has any questions or comments or suggestions please feel free to ask me. You send me a PM

Also if you don't have my cell # then please feel free to send me a PM and I will give it to ya. If there's any problems you can contact me or if your just running late.

Also if anyone has a time suggestion please say it. We could always move the time up or down and hour. The choice is yours...

It would be taking I-287 South to I-79 West to PA-501

I think you mean 78 not 79.

Two things;

Since no one has chimed in to meet at the 3rd meeting spot and you’re not that hot on it anywho, how’s about driving about an hour past it to 700 Northampton Street, Easton, PA. just off of 78?
I’d meet you there at around 1pm and we could have a nice lunch. The KOA would about an hour and a half from there so our ETA would be around 3:30pm.

The other thing is that you might want to take the long way of 78 to 81 north so that Mike would have a “flatter” run in which to tow his rig. 501 has a couple of killer hills.

Man, what a pain that clicking on a link here takes you to the page rather than opening up a new window. :x

Yes, that would be the route I suggest. The place in Easton, PA is Porter's Pub, great food and drink. Dave turned me on to it and I now stop there for lunch whenever I make the trip to or from Rausch during the day.

Hey, If you guys get sick of riding around ON all that dirt and such, you should stop by to see me and take a ride UNDER the dirt !!!! lol. How you might ask,.....

well, I work here ---> http://www.pioneertunnel.com/home.shtml

Never fails, after 2 1/2 years of no work, now I cant seem to get any days off for the last few months.

Just throwin it out there, you will be about 35 minutes from it at the campground !!

everyone have a safe trip.

When make your way to Porter's Google map will always take you this way;
14. Take exit 3 to merge onto US-22 W toward NJ-122/Phillipsburg/Alpha
2.8 mi
15. Take the ramp onto US-22 W/Memorial Pkwy
Continue to follow US-22 W
Partial toll road
Entering Pennsylvania
2.3 mi
16. Take the exit toward Easton
Toll road
266 ft
17. Merge onto Snyder St
0.1 mi
18. Turn left onto N 3rd St
0.2 mi
19. At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Centre Square/Northampton St

Instead drag the route from US-22 down to New Brunswick Ave so you get this;
14. Take exit 3 to merge onto US-22 W toward NJ-122/Phillipsburg/Alpha
0.6 mi
15. Take the exit toward Alpha/NJ-122
0.1 mi
16. Merge onto New Brunswick Ave
1.3 mi
17. New Brunswick Ave turns slightly left and becomes NJ-122 W/S Main St
Continue to follow S Main St
2.6 mi
18. Turn left to stay on S Main St
Entering Pennsylvania
0.2 mi
19. Continue onto Northampton St
0.2 mi
20. At the traffic circle, continue straight onto Centre Square/Northampton St
Continue to follow Northampton St

I think this is the way I've gone before to avoid the toll bridge and it takes the same amount of time.
