A new thread started by Mike on the ECXC site went up.
2008 ECXC trail assignment discussions;
http://www.ecxc.com/bbs/index.php?board=28.0

Who wants to run what on what days?
Are the people in charge here (Gene) planning on running a NeXterra group on either Thursday or Saturday?

If Mike doesn?t need me to Trail Lead as I?ve done for this event in the past I?d like to;

Thursday run with an intermediate group (so I hopefully don?t trash my junk before the ?Challenge?).
Friday run the ?Challenge?.
Saturday (if I?ve survived the ?Challenge? :roll: ) run with an advanced group.
Sunday limp home.

What ?cha wan?na do yo?

I was thinking thursday we could run a NEXterra day and like you said Friday will be the challenge so people are on their own and then saturday we could just do mixed groups..

I think if I wheel on saturday then I wanna run advanced and do some blacks..;)

I'm good with that plan of action. I'd like to warm up on Thursday, do the Challenge and then have some more fun on Saturday.

You could easily handle the intermediate stuff. I did those types of trails my first year out with a similar setup.

I had a kick-ass crew to work with who didn't let me get in over my head.

Tom was a good leader that day.

The X was fun when I had it.

Now if I attend this year i will be riding with Dave Parish.

hmm.. i checked out the descriptions and it looks like I will be doing the intermediate and probably going to hit up the easier advanced trails as long as I kick ass on the intermediates. Since I've never done rocks before but plenty of off camber stuff and plenty of rocky river crossings, I will need someone to judge how I do to see if I can take on the advance trails... who wants to volunteer? :D
