Yeah, I might need help, but I still haven't purchased all the things I'm looking to install.
I wanted the dashboard schematics so that I could run a wire from the top of the dash, down to my aux-in jack and cigarette lighter, but was able to do it with ( i forget the name of the tool) what looks like a screwdriver with an angled head which tapers down to a slim, 2-pronged fork, with a rounded recess for holding the wire in place. I was able to get the wire in without pulling the dash, but I was thinking about repositioning the thing, and will probably have to pull out the dash to make it look professional. I've pulled the dash out of all my old trucks, but I'm a little hesitant with my new one. I figured if I had the schematics, I wouldn't make a mess.
I'm also planning to install some other hardware; steps, roof-rack, visors, and maybe a small bully bar, but not sure about that yet. I should be able to do it myself, but you never know. If you have any tips, tricks, or things I should look out for, I'd appreciate the heads-up. Also, this is my first time working on a Japanese car. My experience is mostly w/ American trucks, so it's somewhat new territory for me. We'll see how it works out.
Where on LI are you located? I just moved to Glen Cove, but grew up in Oyster Bay, and then lived in Syosset for a couple of years. Let me know. Thanks.
