As the title states, my 08 X is in the shop for the strawberry milkshake. I just have a question. So far I'm looking at $2300 for tranny and labor. Should I swap the radiator or tell them to keep the line away from the tranny? Also, do I need a engine flush? I was told I need one. Thanks!

You definitely need a new radiator. That is where the problem started. The trans cooler part of the radiator leaked into the radiator, and vise versa. Plus I’m not sure how you would ever get the trans fluid contamination out of the block without flushing it.
I’ve never heard of someone replacing just the trans.
